This basket is handmade by Jonathan Black, a Navajo artist, and comes from the Twin Rocks Trading Post. Jonathan Black was well known for his weaving, specifically his ability to create symmetrical designs with high detail through tight spacing.
This basket is 13 1/4" in diameter, and shows 4 Navajo people growing 4 sacred plants, corn, beans, squash, and tobacco, surrounded by elements of nature from the southwestern region.
